Overview

Established in 1981, D.R. Macleod Ltd provides a service which spans throughout the UK, operating out of three purpose built distribution centres in Stornoway (Isle of Lewis), Inverness, Lochmady (Noth Uist), as well as from satelite locations in Glasgow and Perth. The wide scope of transport services provided by the company include; General Haulage & Distribution - Refrigerated Transport - Heavy Haulage - Bulk Haulage - hi-Ab hire - Tanker Transport - Removals and both short and long term Storage.

Affiliations

Holder of the Investors In People award, D.R. Macleod Ltd also has full membership of the Road Haulage Association (RHA), Freight Transport Aassociation (FTA), and is the only Western Isles member of the British Association of Removers (BAR). The Fleet

Currently the D.R. Macleod fleet consists of a large number of tractor units, multiple trailer types, rigid vehicles, light vans, and forklift trucks.

Community Involvement

D.R. Macleod Ltd is involved in local sponsorship with various organisations. Local examples being: Main sponsor of Stornoway Athletic Football Club; main sponsor of local wellfare league team Inverness Mechanics.
